A New Kind of Creator Economy

The term creator economy has been floating around a lot recently. A system designed to put creativity first – it sounds great! But as it turns out, creator economy is becoming dangerously close to meaning the same thing as influencer economy. That’s all dangerously far from creativity (or how we define creativity, at least).

At ArtWorld, we want to reimagine what we mean by the term creator economy. What we all really want is a creator-first economy – one where the artworks and artists come first instead of being a vehicle for brand messaging or advertisements. Rather than watching creators get pushed to the bottom of the ladder, seeing them being used for their following or aesthetic, we want to flip the script and start with the creativity. Imagine artists simply creating and getting paid to do so how and when they want to, on their own terms.

This vision might seem utopic, but we think it’s actually pretty basic. It’s one of our main goals at ArtWorld to make it happen. Our plan? Start with creating a safe space for artists to post and truly express themselves. Next, we’ll move towards making a digital marketplace where artists can sell their works. It’s not far away, we are building it now. In a month or two from now you will be able to buy framed prints, digital art and original arts from artists all over the world. And after all of that, we want to simply fund artists all over the world to create. Once the creative juices are flowing and artists on our platform have their economic freedom back, brands can come to them and negotiate on the artists’ terms. Help us make that dream come true by expressing yourself in our app! Creators always come first at ArtWorld.
